Product Preparation
Our products are prepared with the highest quality components including water, dried culture media, supplements and enrichments, and chemicals. Upon receipt, raw materials are checked for general appearance and expiry dates. If acceptable they are stored under appropriate conditions and always used following the manufacturers recommendations. Autoclaves, pouring and dispensing equipment, HEPA filtered hoods, meters, incubators and fridges are all monitored and maintained to ensure they are in optimum working order. Laminar flow hoods, aseptic technique, and regular decontamination of production areas to ensure that product sterility is not compromised.

Quality Control
The following quality control procedures are documented in the preparation of our products:
  • water purity checks

  • pH of medium

  • autoclave performance

  • lot numbers and expiration dates

  • weighing and measuring

  • additive temperatures

  • amount produced

  • sterility and growth performance on finished product

Our quality control program meets or exceeds those guidelines set down by the NCCLS M22-A2 document for commercially prepared microbiological culture media.

Storage and Shelf Life
We have determined the shelf lives and storage conditions of our products through ongoing in-house testing, literature recommendations, and from customer input. All culture media should be protected from light and plated media should be stored media side up to prevent moisture buildup & condensation. In all instances, adherance to our product outdating assures optimum performance of our products

All of our products are for "laboratory use" and "in-vitro" diagnostic use only. Please ensure proper safety procedures are followed while handling infectious specimens and media during inoculation, interpretation and disposal of these materials. Always visually check the media for signs of deterioration and contamination.

Defective or damaged goods will be replaced at no charge providing the product has been stored and used according to the product information sheet.
